A feature that I would appreciate is the ability to search for folders, not just files.
Also, it'd be nice with the ability to select what extensions not to search for.
Then, I'd like to be able to just type in a URL in the prompt and get it opened in my browser.

Thanks!

All great ideas. I'll add them to the list and they'll be available in a future release.

Latest version incorporates a few of the features you requested. Ability to search for folders will require some extensive work to get it to work in "offline" searching mode, so it will have to wait.

If you go to the preferences dialog, go to the Searching page, you'll see that Guillotine can either search "Offline" or "Real Time".

Offline (the default) will pre-index and load in memory all bookmarks, files with matching extensions, Outlook contacts, etc when Guillotine starts. This consumes more memroy, but makes search results very quick.

Real Time will not preindex anything and will search your bookmarks files, file system, Outlook constacts folder, etc, on each search. This consumes no memory, but is obviously slower.
